The team really are dedicated to the work they do and those 66 years are filled with experience that makes them experts in remote monitoring and business security services.

Malcolm O'Shea BarnesMalcolm O’Shea-Barnes, Senior Operations Manager:

“My job requires that I know all the security industry standards for remote monitoring and manage the ISO 9001.”

The highlight of Malcolm’s job is when he proudly says, every day, that his teams have done everything in their power to prevent damage to a client’s property. Particularly when their remote monitoring and security services help police detain a criminal on a client’s property. For the future, Malcolm hopes to achieve industry-wide recognition that Farsight is the market leader in customer care and alarm response.


Joel BabbJoel Babb, IT Manager:

“Being head of the IT Department in the largest CCTV monitoring station in the UK is a fantastic position to be in. I remain professional and attentive at all times – a necessity when dealing with security software as well as communicating with customers and security engineers.”

Joel has worked at Farsight since 2007 and proactively works towards expanding his team’s knowledge of the security systems and the IT infrastructure behind them. Joel continuously works to keep Farsight at the cutting edge of CCTV monitoring.


Vic KuleszaVic Kulesza, Financial Manager:

With an attention to detail that is second to none, Vic’s role in Farsight is instrumental. Over the six years that he’s worked for Farsight, Vic has come to make a huge difference from the way invoices are dealt with right through to the way the company is run in general.

“Having been with Farsight for six years and in a financial capacity, I’ve seen the company go from strength to strength. It’s a great position to be in, watching the company expand in what remains a very competitive market.”


Chris Shields, UK Sales Manager:

An avid motorsports fan, Chris is always up for a debate on the latest Moto GP news. Whilst he’s at work, Chris’ belief is that you get out what you put into a project. It’s this belief that motivates him to put as much into his role as possible, to keep Farsight as one of the best monitoring stations in the UK.

Hitting targets and making sure customers have a great experience with Farsight are Chris’ main priorities. Chris previously held the position of Northern Business Development Manager at Farsight, so is well versed in both the business and the security industry. He says:

“I get great satisfaction when I hear customers are happy with the service I’ve provided; repeat business is good business. I love working with Farsight, and am excited to help our customers in the future.”

Regarding Chris’ promotion, Farsight Managing Director Rob Moore commented on Chris’ success, “Chris is an integral part of the team, and works extremely hard. He always puts Farsight customers first, and we’re very proud to have him as part of the team.”


Teresa MilneTeresa Milne, Commissioning Manager:

“Farsight is one of the biggest security monitoring stations in the UK and I’m proud to be part of its team of security experts.”

Teresa joined Farsight as an operator in 2005 and proved herself quickly, progressing to Day Operations Supervisor. In 2016 we promoted Teresa again to Commissioning Manager, making her responsible for commissioning new security systems and installations. She ensures that new sites are successfully connected to our monitoring and fault-finding software then thoroughly tested, assisting engineers where appropriate.     

“Here at Farsight, we provide an important and valuable service. We frequently prevent our client’s property being stolen or damaged, and we often stop people from being injured. Ensuring sites are properly connected to our software ensures they are effectively monitored and tracked, so I take my role very seriously.

“Realising the importance of what we do keeps me motivated.”


Akeel KhalilAkeel Khalil, Southern Business Development Manager:

Knowing our remote monitoring service inside-out, Akeel has progressed through several roles at Farsight, starting as a CCTV operator in 2007 and moving onwards to be a team leader, client account manager and now business development manager.

Akeel has dealt with everything from day-to-day alarms, to providing an excellent customer service and growing relationships with installers. Fully qualified with the SSAIB, Akeel is also Farsight’s internal auditor, tasked with ensuring Farsight’s operations meet the high industry standards required of a remote monitoring station.

Now, as business development manager, Akeel continues to thrive at Farsight: “This role is the perfect match for me. I’m a real people person and I pride myself in always doing my upmost to find the best solutions for installers and their customers.”

In his spare time Akeel is always trialling the latest bit of tech – making him the go-to iOS problem-solver for the Farsight team. He also runs a popular local radio show called Let’s Talk, discussing weekly current affairs. In between all of that, Akeel regularly fundraises and raises awareness for local and Unicef charities.
