What is an Ajax Alarm System?
Ajax is one of the most advanced wireless alarm systems available today. Designed for both residential and commercial properties, it uses certified equipment and cutting-edge radio communication to provide rapid and secure protection without the need for cabling. Ajax developed its own Jeweller radio protocol, which ensures uninterrupted communication between the hub and all connected devices, even in challenging environments.
Ajax Systems was founded in 2011 and now operates in more than 90 countries. Ajax Control Panel Hubs
The Ajax range includes a series of intelligent control panels, known as hubs. Each one connects to detectors, sirens, key fobs and peripherals, forming a complete wireless security network. Below is a summary of the current models.
1. Hub
The entry-level Ajax Hub acts as the heart of the system. It monitors all connected detectors and sends alarm signals instantly to the owner and Farsight’s Alarm Receiving Centre. The communication is encrypted, ensuring secure data transfer and rapid response times.
The Hub uses the Jeweller radio protocol for stable communication and automatically switches to clear frequencies if interference is detected. Setup is straightforward via the mobile app, with devices connected in just a few clicks. Communication is handled through Ethernet or a GSM 2G SIM card, ensuring reliable alarm delivery to both Farsight’s ARC and the system owner.
2. Hub Plus
The Ajax Hub Plus builds on the original with greater processing power, more memory and multiple communication paths. It sends verified alarms to Farsight’s ARC within seconds, offering enhanced reliability and performance.
The Hub Plus supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi and dual SIM cards for uninterrupted operation. It can automatically switch between 2G and 3G networks to maintain a constant connection, providing robust redundancy for critical security sites.
3. Hub 2
The Ajax Hub 2 adds support for alarm photo verification using MotionCam detectors. It communicates via Ethernet and dual SIM cards, ensuring continuous connection to Farsight’s ARC even if one path becomes unavailable.
The Hub 2 integrates directly with Ajax Cloud for setup, automation and updates. All information is encrypted, and users can choose how they receive alerts — via push notifications, SMS or phone calls. When connected to Farsight, alarm data and event images are transmitted instantly to our operators for assessment and verification.
4. Hub 2 Plus
The Ajax Hub 2 Plus is the flagship control panel, built for complex and large-scale installations. It supports up to 200 devices and 25 independent security groups, making it ideal for commercial or multi-zone environments.
Hub 2 Plus delivers exceptional communication stability with Ethernet, Wi-Fi and dual SIM connectivity, including LTE (4G) where supported. It can connect to two separate internet providers while maintaining a cellular backup for uninterrupted protection. Switching between channels happens instantly to guarantee continuous monitoring.
