Throughout June, IFSEC is inviting the security industry to attend an online marketplace and meetings event – IFSEC Connect 2021. The platform will give attendees the opportunity to connect with new and international suppliers and peers through video calls and messaging. Powered by AI, the Connect 2021 platform supports visitors with intelligent meeting recommendations based on your online profile – or you can simply plan your own meeting schedule directly through the system – no external Zoom email invites will be required!

In addition, attendees will have exclusive access to a host of content from IFSEC and the co-located events. A series of tech-based presentations and thought leadership panel discussions focusing on the industry’s hottest topics include the future of video surveillance and CCTV, access control, intruder detection and protecting cities are scheduled to take place.

Speaking about IFSEC’s virtual presence, Group Director Chris Edwards said: “IFSEC International succeeded in bringing the industry together remotely during 2020 when it was simply impossible to meet face to face. This year, we’ll be building on that success and significantly raising the bar in terms of the content and connections we’ll be delivering for exhibitors and attendees online during IFSEC Connect 2021.”

About IFSEC’s Connect 2021

The month-long online event, running from 1st – 30th June 2021, will give attendees the opportunity to connect with new and international audiences through video calls and instant messaging, whilst also providing opportunities to browse thousands of security solutions, connect with the security industry’s leading suppliers and access expert-led thought-leadership content from any location.

Attendees can connect with exhibitors and professionals they want to meet using the Connect AI augmented platform, which makes intelligent recommendations based on their online profile. A series of tech-based presentations and thought-leadership panel discussions focusing on the industry’s hottest topics are scheduled throughout June, which will address the future of video surveillance and CCTV, access control, intruder detection, protecting cities and much more.

Over 32,000 visitors from more than 120 countries are expected to attend both events, with over 600 of the security industry’s biggest names also set to take part, including Dahua Technology, HID Global, Motorola Solutions, Texecom, CSL, ELAN, Eagle Eye Networks, Ultinous, Adani for Security, alongside key security associations BSIA, SSAIB, the Security Institute, ASIS and FSA.

This year’s IFSEC International had been scheduled to take place at London’s ExCeL from 12-14 July, however the team is now focused on preparations for the 2022 edition, with leading names such as Hikvision, Paxton Access and Anixter having already booked their space.

Chris Edwards, Group Director at Informa Markets, said: “We’ve worked tremendously hard along with our venue and contractor partners to deliver an event that is both safe and successful for all involved, but it’s become clear that with the ongoing international travel disruption and general uncertainty caused by the pandemic that transitioning to a vibrant online experience that the whole international security community can be part of is the right thing to do.

“Our virtual event, IFSEC Connect, will offer delegates and suppliers the chance to come together online and we look forward to delivering an in-person series of events at a scale our customers are used to seeing in 2022.”
