On Tuesday 20 April 2015 we, at Farsight, were delighted to welcome Kobayashi San, CEO of Optex Japan to the Observatory in Peterborough.
Hosted by our managing director, Rob Moore, and senior operations manager, Malcolm O’Shea-Barnes, Kobayashi San had the opportunity to explore our state of the art remote monitoring facility, which has recently undergone a transformation.
In autumn/winter 2014, the Farsight Observatory was refurbished to bring in the very latest remote monitoring software alongside a functional, smart and stimulating environment for operators. The refurbishment restructured the Observatory from the positioning of operator nodes through to lighting and cutting edge technology.
During his visit Kobayashi San was hugely impressed with the changes the Observatory had undergone, visibly seeing the difference it made to the environment and work of the operators.
Rob Moore said: “Being a part of the Optex Group means that Farsight focuses on the same values as Optex – the world’s leading manufacturer of intruder alarms and CCTV passive infrared detectors.
“Those values include innovation and being at the very forefront of the industry to offer customer’s the very best in security. It was great to be able to talk to Kobayashi San about exactly how we are embracing those values – especially with the refurbishment as an example.”
Kobayashi San hugely enjoyed his visit to the Farsight Observatory, and it was an absolute pleasure to have him!
