What did you miss at IFSEC 2015?

The Optex Group at IFSECIt’s safe to say that IFSEC 2015 was a roaring success. It was our first time exhibiting at the event as a part of the Optex Group and we were delighted to be invited to be part of their stand, E600.

Together, the Optex Group represented a comprehensive, innovative security partnership with the likes of Future’s Answer, Giken Trastem, Raytec and Fiber SenSys.

Exclusive Farsight news at IFSEC

For us, at Farsight Security Services, IFSEC was an opportunity talk about some really exciting innovations we have coming up in the next few months. We had the chance to chat to installers and security experts about the upcoming release of our CCTV packages – and the response we received was overwhelmingly positive.

IFSEC 2015The Optex Group stand

The Optex Group stand was incredibly busy across the three days of IFSEC, with visitors keen to find out more about Optex latest innovations including their new iVISION+, a smart access control solution – a wireless door and gate video system.

Integration was also a big feature for Optex and Farsight, as our new CCTV packages demonstrate cloud-based monitoring built around and integrated with Axis cameras and Optex Redwall sensors.

A few IFSEC 2015 highlights

Beyond stand E600, there were a lot of other exciting events, talks and stands throughout ExCel London. The ‘all singing and dancing’ Xtralis robot was a huge hit, with some great robot selfies being taken.

Cathexis Vision also put on a brilliant show with a striking display of a tiger with glowing green eyes.

Jablotron had a very inventive stand, especially with a hot drinks machine that mimics their alarm panel – the coffee was much appreciated!

Axis Security also put in a great effort with CYCLE TO charity, cycling 360km around London and through the surrounding counties to arrive at IFSEC.

Karren Brady’s talk at IFSEC also pulled in huge crowds, as did the annual awards for Engineers of Tomorrow – celebrating upcoming engineering talent in the security industry.

Although it may seem like post-IFSEC is the perfect time to have a bit of a breather, we’ve still got a lot in the pipeline for the next few months. It’s an exciting year for us here at Farsight, so make sure you watch this space…
